Jagar Manacha Foundation

Jagar Manacha Foundation is a grassroots non-governmental organisation working towards empowering the rural youth with vocational skills, career guidance, and extra curricular activities that nurture holistic growth. The Marathi word ‘Jagar’ means awakening, and ‘Manacha’ means ‘Of the Mind/Soul.’ Translating these concepts visually while keeping it accessible to the masses, the logo is designed as a ray of sunshine: a ray of hope, signaling awakening of the mind, body, and soul.


As the organization works largely with children and young adults, the edges are softened to project approachability, and the hues of yellow and orange are designed to be bright yet calming, reflecting both energy and composure. The logo design intentionally maintains ambiguity of being perceived as a flower (along with the obvious sun), another positive symbol of vitality, growth, and just some good-hearted cheer. This simple and sleek brand identity design elevates the brand positioning to a global level, amplifying its reach and impact, which is the focus of the organization in the coming years.

A multi-pronged communications strategy, including YouTube, works towards amplifying the reach of the brand multifold. In only one month, the strategy and creative direction has allowed the organization to get the channel monetized. In the next phase, Sarbat is working with the organization to create an IP which will catalyze their efforts towards bringing grassroots change.
